This is part of a series called Presidential Free Association. I post the first word that comes to mind when I hear the name of the president, along with a brief explanation if necessary.
Overcoat
William Henry Harrison was 68 years old when he was inaugurated as president in 1841. Wanting to prove he was still a tough war general, he gave his inaugural address, the longest one in history, on a cold, wet March day without wearing a coat or hat. A month later he was dead of pneumonia. Perhaps if Harrison had worn a coat or edited his speech more, history would have been changed.
